Ferris & Britton is a general business law firm with particular experience in high-technology areas such as biotechnology, wired and wireless broadband communications, and computer technology. Naturally, business law overlaps into other areas of law. Thus, we also have extensive experience in the fundamental areas of employment, government regulation, real estate, tax, estate planning and asset protection. We guide emerging and established businesses in structuring, financing, licensing, acquiring, and merging companies. We provide the legal guidance and documentation required when issuing securities, including IPOs and private offerings. We have expertise in dealing with laws that regulate business such as FEHA, FLSA and ADA and agencies such as Cal/OSHA, NLRB, CPUC, EEOC and the FCC. We counsel and represent companies in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures and labor union relations. We vigorously represent, protect and defend businesses, their owners and investors in litigation before state and federal courts. Our practice is focused and sophisticated.
